Posy Simmonds' graphic novel, once a weekly feature in The Guardian, now on screen and directed by Stephen Frears is a comedy of manners in which Gemma Arterton is the eponymous Tamara, who arrives back at her childhood home town, in the middle of a writer’s retreat, leading to all manner of misunderstandings and dramas ensue.
