Coppola's alienated teen allegory focuses on the relationship between young street thug Rusty and his older brother, the effortlessly cool and legendary Motorcycle Boy. When Motorcycle Boy returns to town he finds his brother trying to imitate his former gang leader’s ways and their father attempting, quite successfully, to drink away his troubled past.
